About this piece
Price was £8,000
Attributed to Gustave Serrurier, the curved and carved trestle legs with shaped feet and stretchers
Belgium, circa 1900
The spare construction of this side table does not correspond precisely with any of the ranges designed by Serrurier for his company 'Serrurier et Cie', however we feel sure that it is by him; probably for an architectural commission
Perhaps the closest piece of known Serrurier furniture to the offered table was a plant stand exhibited at MAMAC, Liege in 2008 - 2009
H 91cm x W 170cm x D 80cm
H 36" x W 67" x D 31½"
