New Fabrics For Spring 2022

This Spring, Rose is launching 46 new fabrics, bringing the total number of fabrics in the collection to just over 350.

The 46 new fabrics are an exploration into new weaves, textures and compositions. New glazed linens have a reflective lustre that offers a crisp and polished finish, and are remarkably lightweight, with a distinctive sheen; they are particularly well suited to lampshades and curtains.

The fabrics are underpinned by a continued emphasis on sustainability; ensuring considered production practises, the use of organic and natural fibres, and support for artisanal techniques.

Owing to a long term commitment to reviving traditional craft, one colour - Seed - is produced by the last "Beetler" in Ireland. The linen is crafted using the beetling technique, which dates back to the 1700's. Pounded on both sides by wooden mallets, the linen has a flat, paper like finish that is both delicate and crisp.
