Tiled Coffee Table

This spring Rose Uniacke introduces the Tiled Coffee Table, adding to Rose Uniacke Editions - a collection of refined, considered, and elegant furniture, accessories, and lighting.

Inspired by turn-of-the-century Parisian tiles and glazed brickwork, the Tiled Coffee Table is simple and classic in its form with custom-made earthenware tiles. The table is available in two rich and earthy shades, Moss and Wheat, a result of Rose Uniacke’s love for colour, and an extension of the opulent shades found in the Rose Uniacke Fabric Collection. The glossy tiles offer both contrast and harmony when paired with indulgent mohairs, pure silks and artisanal linens - be it jewel-like tones, deeply saturated shades, or soft and characterful neutrals.

Owing to Rose Uniacke’s continued support for heritage craft and techniques, the striking table calls upon the UK’s finest contemporary craftspeople, with each tile made using centuries old techniques in Stoke-on-Trent, the home of traditional British pottery.

Showcasing five varieties of tiles, the table is an exercise of precision - tonal mortar holds each hand-placed tile along the tabletop, edges, and column pedestal base. This skilled technique and the table's uniform appearance juxtapose the subtle irregularities in the size and shape of the tiles.
