Pierre Jeanneret 'Floating Back' Office Chair Model II, circa 1955
Also known as 'Fauteuil En Teck' the frame is made from solid teak with both seat and slightly curved backrest hand braided in cane, the 'Compass' style double sided inverted V leg assembly with the legs connected by a central stretcher. Retains all original markings and patina.
Provenance: Panjab University and administrative buildings in Chandigarh, India
