Set of 3 horn combs made using traditional methods at the last remaining horn works in UK.
The horn is sourced ethically from renewable sources - a byproduct of the meat industry, this waste product is saved from going to landfill and recycled into beautiful handmade items.
Bovine horn has thermoplastic properties, which means it can be softened and made malleable by heating, when it can then be bent, moulded and shaped. After sanding and polishing the horn takes on a smooth glossy appearance, it is only at this stage that it shows it's full natural colours.
Please note: no two pieces will ever be the same and the colours you receive will vary from those pictured.
