The ﬁrst passageway is hung with “The Group” - 12 signed etchings by Ibrahim El-Salahi. The cool Elegance of a Swedish hall sofa is oﬀset by a rustic vine-wood side table.
In the Kitchen 3 Hand Blown Murano Glass Lanterns are hung over a sleek island unit.
Dining is deﬁned by an oak Drapers Table, and eight Oak Theatre Chairs by Rose Uniacke beneath two copper 'Tallerkenlampan' pendant lights by Poul Henningsen for Louis Poulsen and a striking pair of etchings by Anish Kapoor.
In the Reception Room, a bespoke Rose Uniacke generously proportioned Drawing Room Sofa, two Large Rosewater Armchairs and a pair of Frits Schlegel Beech and Sea Grass Armchairs are grouped around an overscaled custom coﬀee table of rough-hewn oak. Aesthetic period and Arts and Crafts side tables display a collection of sensuous ceramics complimented by botanical Etchings by Michael Landy from his ‘Nourishment’ serie.
The fabric choices include soft natural linens, luxurious cashmeres, rust coloured and bottle green velvets and cushions in vintage Fortuny silk.
The Master Bedroom is a masterclass in serenity and monastic calm. Bespoke Carrara Cone Lamps by Rose Uniacke ﬂank the canopied bed, swathed with tonal layers of white on white cotton and soft linens. Book-matched Library Chairs and a Rose Uniacke Hoof Occasional Table are placed beneath a pair of abstract etchings by Victor Passmore. A Limited Edition Writing Table by Rose Uniacke in veneered Amboyna Wood and a caned Stitched Armchair, wrapped with soft cream leather, stand before the full-height windows, the light diﬀused through billowing layers of cotton voile.
In each of the subsequent Bedrooms, the sense of timeless calm prevails. Employing the subtlest of palettes - blush, yellows or the lightest of bluey greens, Rose has furnished each with its own distinctive character and charm.
