About this piece

A pair of early 20th century Liberty terracotta 'Siegfried' garden planters after designs by Archibald Knox. The planters of octagonal form are decorated along the rims with a stylised band of Celtic knots and raised on similarly decorated octagonal plinth bases.

Provenance: Rowchester House, Greenlaw, Scotland.
